Vail Cascade Resort & Spa is hosting the Mountain Microbrew Festival on Oct. 30, and is featuring a package rate throughout the weekend. The festival, slated for 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., will feature beer tastings, seminars, live music and food. Several of Colorados microbreweries will participate.

 

The package rate, valid Oct. 29 to 31, is $129 per night, double, and covers one admission ticket and a German beer stein. Additional advance tickets can be purchased for $25 through reservations or $30 at the gate.

Austins Barton Creek Resort & Spa is inviting fans of the University of Texas football team to stay at the resort on weekends when the Longhorns are playing at home.

The UT package, a two-night plan, is priced from $168 per person, per night, and covers accommodations, daily breakfast buffet in the Hill Country Dining Room, a golf shootout one day and transportation to and from Darrell Royal Texas Memorial Stadium on game day.

Doormen at the Fairmont San Francisco have welcomed many people, from world leaders to Hollywood celebrities. Now, with the Family Fun package, kids can do the same.

The three-night plan, valid through Dec. 30, is priced at $189 per night, with a $100 credit toward activities at the hotel. Also included is afternoon tea for two in the hotels Laurel Court -- known for its childrens tea service -- and a chance for kids to play doorman for a day.
