MIAMI -- Hoping to attract a larger slice of two markets on
opposite sides of the price spectrum, Sandals Resorts began
marketing its spa resorts and small budget hotels in separate
brochures.
The two brochures are titled Signature Spa Collection and the
Inn Clubs. The Sandals and Beaches Signature Spa Collection
brochure lists six resorts that feature full-service spas and a
higher level of services and dining choices compared with other
Sandals properties.
The six spa resorts are: Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort and Spa;
Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort and Spa; Sandals Negril Beach
Resort and Spa and Sandals Dunn's River Golf Resort and Spa, both
in Jamaica; Sandals Antigua Resort and Spa, and Sandals St. Lucia
Golf Resort and Spa.
Sandals' spa resorts are among a batch of hotels that received
the highest marks in an internal rating conducted by the company.
The firm said it expects to roll out a Web site -- www.allinclusiveratings.com -- featuring all Sandals
resorts rated with one to 10 stars based on each resort's standard
of amenities and services.
The resorts, which rated themselves, factored in the level of
accommodations, facilities, dining, location and activities among
other categories. Sandals said it signed up dozens of other
individual inclusive hotels and resort companies to take part in
its Web venture, which will be unveiled at the Caribbean Hotel
Association's annual conference Jan. 23 to 25 in Nassau,
Bahamas.
Meanwhile, Sandals' Inn Clubs brochure features Beaches Inn in
Negril and Sandals Inn in Montego Bay, Jamaica, two properties
marketed to "budget-conscious" travelers.
In addition to paying less for their vacations, guests who stay
at either of the two budget Sandals can use the facilities at any
other Sandals or Beaches resorts, and transportation is free if the
two resorts are in the same city.
