State Department issues Solomon Islands warning

The State Department advised U.S. travelers to the Solomon Islands to "exercise caution" on Guadalcanal, citing "acts of lawlessness and sporadic armed incidents since 1999" and "reports of violence" near the capital, Honiara.

The department also renewed a warning for U.S. citizens to avoid travel to Burundi, citing increased political violence.
