SAN JOSE, Calif. -- SunTrips, which recently announced 14%
commission on 2003 packages (10% for air-only bookings), launched a
promotion to boost its service from Oakland, Calif., and Denver to
Mexico.
The operator said it will reward agents who make 14 bookings
that include roundtrip air fare from Oakland or Denver to Mexico
with a roundtrip ticket on one of the flights.
The operator is offering a similar promotion to Hawaii.
The bookings must be made by Dec. 31 for travel Jan. 1 through
Feb. 28. Air-only, fly-drive, complete packages and group bookings
count toward an agent's total.
To qualify, agents must track their bookings and claim their
tickets by March 14. The awards are valid for travel through
December 14, 2003.
SunTrips runs its Hawaii and Mexico charters in conjunction with
Ryan International and North American airlines.
