CARIBBEAN SUN Airlines will launch twice-daily service between San Juan and Tortola, British Virgin Islands, Jan. 21. The schedule will increase to eight roundtrip flights a day in February, using Dash 8 37-passenger aircraft. The carrier's Web site, toll-free booking number and commission structure will be announced shortly. Future routes may include San Juan-St. Maarten, according to J.C. Toledo, marketing director of Caribbean Sun, which is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale.

BWIA lifted blackout restrictions on select classes of service and unveiled new low fares to Trinidad during its Carnival period from Feb. 26 to March 4. Round-trip fares start at $557 from Miami for midweek departures, $579 from New York (Kennedy) for weeklong departures or $609 from Washington (Dulles) for midweek flights. • Pleasant Holidays partnered with select Hyatt properties to offer two air fare credits of $100 each toward a future Caribbean trip. To earn the credits, packages must be booked through May 31. Participating properties are located in Aruba, Grand Cayman and Puerto Rico.

• Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort in St. Lucia added three more rooms to its Serenity Spa as well as new massage therapies. • The Ritz-Carlton Golf & Spa Resort, Rose Hall, Jamaica unveiled its new inclusive Key to Paradise-Club Level package that covers roundtrip airport transfers, accommodations, unlimited golf, two massages, all meals and beverages, taxes and service fees. • Cendant subsidiary Wingate Inns Int'l will build its first franchised Wingate Inn property outside of North America, a 100-room hotel on 125 acres in Belmopan, Belize. Scheduled to be completed in 2004, the property will feature a restaurant, nightclub and 18-hole golf course.
