Extravaganza" promotion that offers up to 40% off at more than 100
hotels and resorts. Packages must be booked by May 30 for travel
through Dec. 22. Gogo said that its Extravaganza program offers
savings of up to $875 per couple for seven-night packages in
Acapulco, Cancun, Cozumel, Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, the Riviera

THE CASAMAGNA Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort
was awarded the AAA Four Diamond Award for the 12th consecutive
year, longer than any other resort in Puerto Vallarta, resort
officials said. AAA evaluated 44,000 properties this year based on
overall consistency, customer service and quality of facilities,
awarding a rating of one to five diamonds to qualifying
establishments in the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean and Mexico.

KERNER INT'L LTD. named Edward Steiner managing
director of the One & Only Palmilla and regional vp-Mexico, for
the company's new operation in Los Cabos. Steiner was most recently
managing director for Las Ventanas al Paraiso resort in Los Cabos.
Steiner will oversee the $75 million refurbishment and expansion of
the One & Only Palmilla, which is scheduled to reopen in
January 2004. Kerzner Int'l acquired a 50% equity interest and
long-term management rights for Palmilla last year and announced
the resort would join the company's portfolio of One & Only
properties. When renovations are complete, the resort will have 174
rooms, including several new villas overlooking the Sea of Cortez
and a 25,000-square-foot spa.
MEXICO BOUTIQUE HOTELS announced two new
members: Casa del Mar in Los Cabos and the Xaloc Resort on Isla
Holbox in the State of Quintana Roo. The 56-room Casa del Mar is
the association's first hotel in Baja California Sur. The Xaloc
