VEGAS-PHILES won't be able to miss the
inaugural issue of Vegas Magazine when it comes out in July. After
all, supermodel Heidi Klum is on the cover. The new consumer
magazine, published by Greenspun Media Group and SoBe News, is
billed as the first national lifestyle publication focusing on Las
Vegas. Included will be columns such as "Fame Game," with celebrity
gossip; "Desert Patrol," dedicated to rising stars and other people
to watch; and "The Strip," which covers the Las Vegas nightlife
scene. In addition to the Las Vegas area, the magazine will be
available on newsstands in Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Los Angeles,
Minneapolis, New York, Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle
and Miami.
THE BELLAGIO resort added an outdoor venue for
weddings. The Terrazza di Sogno -- translated as Terrace of Dreams
-- is an Italian balcony with marble flooring that overlooks the
property's lake and famed fountains. To reserve the balcony for
their nuptials, couples first must book one of the resort's wedding
chapel packages, which range in price from $1,800 to $15,000, and
then pay an extra $1,800 for the terrace venue. The price includes
special lighting, the sound system, and the couple's choice of a
song for the fountains, which shoot in sync with the music as the
newlyweds perform their first kiss. For an added fee, couples can
hire live musicians for the ceremony. The terrace can hold up to 34
guests, is wheelchair-accessible and is available for day and
evening ceremonies. Wedding renewals and commitment ceremonies also
can be performed. The resort's wedding packages are commissionable
to travel agents, and there is a flat $30 commission for the
terrace upgrade. For more information, agents can contact the
Bellagio wedding chapels at (888) 464-4436 or (702) 693-7700 or
access www.bellagio.com.
