Le Boat offers travelers who wish to view the Tour de France up close an alternative to staying at a hotel. Boating vacations are available on waterways that follow the race, which takes place from July 4 to 26.
Boats are available from Vinkeveen, Holland, where boaters can cruise to the starting point of the race at nearby Utrecht and follow the first stage of the race to Oudewater and Gouda. Boats are also available in Brittany, France, with stations located near the beginning of the races' eighth stage in Rennes. Boaters can closely follow the race route via Mur-de-Bretagne and Vannes.
Le Boat is offering a 10% discount on its nine-person Vision model boats, which start at $665 per boat for three nights.
In addition, throughout the month of July Le Boat is offering a 25% discount on rentals in all nine of its destinations: France, Holland, Belgium, England, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Poland and Italy.
The discount applies to rentals of seven nights or longer on all boat models except for select large anchor models. Before discount, boat rentals start at $758 for seven nights.
Costs include rental of the boat and its equipment; a fully equipped galley with utensils and appliances; towels and linens; a boat handling demo; technical support; on-board cursing information; and lock fees (not included in Holland or Ireland vacations). No license or boating experience is required, and renters do not have to follow a preplanned itinerary. Travel agents can earn 10% commission per boat on each rental.Le Boat
