The Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa has named Jerry Westenhaver its new general manager.
Formerly the GM at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa, Westenhaver is taking over for Doug Sears at the 600-room Kauai property, according to an Aug. 15 statement.
Sears has moved on to the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells, near Palm Springs in California, and Westenhaver’s role at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki will be filled by David Nadleman, who left the Grand Hyatt San Francisco, according to a Hyatt Regency Waikiki representative.
Westenhaver helped open the Hyatt Regency Waikiki in 1976 as the food and beverage director and began his recent run as GM at the 1,229-room property in June 2011.
