Work on a $13 million renovation at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa began Jan. 3 and will continue through September.
The project will include a complete overhaul of the resort's entire third floor and public areas along with the addition of two restaurants, a new poolside lounge and bar, upgrades to the pool deck and a new Regency Club space.
"We are incredibly excited about the upcoming updates to Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa," David Lewin, the property's general manager, said in a statement. "Scheduling the redesign of the third floor in three phases will enable us to continue to deliver a superb vacation experience."
Phase one of the work is scheduled to finish in late April and will include the completion of the Regency Club and a new restaurant, while phase two will focus on the property's other food-and-beverage venues.
Hyatt officials expect phase three, focused primarily around the new pool decks, to begin in May and be complete in mid-August.
