Description
Nautical-styled hotel with views of the harbor in Frenchman's Bay and the ocean beyond - A short drive from Acadia National Park.
Location and History
Facing the harbor with its docked ferries and whale-watching boats from across West Street, just less than 2-hours' drive north of Portland, this was Bar Harbor's pioneering style maven when it opened, a made-to-order boutique-inspired offering that continues to proudly parade California-based Kimpton's trademark pizazz. One of the region's most sophisticated designer lairs, this place sets it down within view of the Porcupine Islands.
