Location and History
Located just outside of Belmopan, Sleeping Giant Rainforest Lodge is part of the Belize Collection, which manages and owns such resorts as Almond Beach and Jaguar Reef in Hopkins.
Most flights land in Belize City, about a two-hour drive away, and the lodge can arrange transfers.
The resort, close to St. Herman's Cave and Blue Hole National Park, is dedicated to sustainable tourism, and is a center for National Geographic Expeditions in Belize. The resort takes its name from the picturesque mountain nearby that resembles a Sleeping Giant.
