Location and History
This luxurious and beautiful historic hotel in central Bucharest was opened in 1886 as Broffitt Hotel. Like the larger Athenee Palace Hotel, Broffitt was one of the first luxury hotels in the city and has an important and colorful history, having hosted many famous clients. Most famously, in 1912 the first president of Albania resided at the hotel, where he and his colleagues drew up the Albanian Independence documents.
It is ideally located just two blocks from Bucharest's small historic district and within a 10-minute walk to large, leafy Cismigiu Park, a 15-minute walk to the famous Parliament Building and within walking distance of many museums and other major city attractions.
