This award-winning hotel is located in the countryside village of Pulford, just six miles south of Chester, a 15- to 20-minute drive. The hotel sits right on the border of England and Wales.
Privately owned by the English Nelson family, the hotel is part of their Nelson Hotels and Inns Group, which includes five small hotels in historic buildings in the Cheshire area.
The hotel dates to the late 1700s, when it originally opened as a border pub and hotel. In 1874, it was renamed Grosvenor Arms Hotel then refurbished in 1897.
