Location and History
This hotel faces the spectacular cathedral, next to McDonald's. Despite some contemporary elements, this is a genuine tribute to Europe's palace hotels, and it survives as the most renowned address in the city center.
When it was rebuilt more than a century ago, it was legendary in town with a substantial number of rooms featuring private baths (rare at the time). Air raids during World War II caused damage to the top floors of this historic building, but the structure remained.
