Description
Resort complex with original Italian Renaissance buildings and newer wings - Overlooks Cheyenne Lake at foot of Colorado Rockies.
Location and History
A testament to western hospitality, built in 1918, this hotel is the undisputed queen of the Western Slopes and makes The Stanley Hotel up in Estes Park feel like a parochial boarding house.
The hotel is comprised of the evocative main building, the West Tower and a lovely array of period outbuildings. The Broadmoor provides an iconic lodging experience dating from the Golden Era of travel. This is Colorado's most famous resort, an old-money enclave gone mainstream.
