Location and History
Fairmont and adjacent, interconnected sister-hotel, Raffles, each occupy half of Qatar's most iconic modern building. Known as Katara Towers, the unique, cutting-edge building was commissioned by the Qatar government to become a landmark building in Doha, in preparation for the FIFA World Cup that was held in Doha in 2022.
Constructed and owned by Katara Hospitality, the building looks like a set of massive bull horns but actually represents the Qatari national emblem of two crossing swords.
