Description
Cultural hideaway, amidst the Bavarian Alps, hosts concerts and literary events; Offers golfing and outdoor activities.
Location and History
More than a century old, this remains the region's grand dame, a large and imposing castle-like lodge with a modern wing and a host of high-end highlights, including a stunning pair of spas, nationally and internationally recognized dining, and service that rivals the Kempinski and Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich, both located 90-minutes to the north.
Schloss Elmau is a world-class, family-run operation that, surprisingly, is not as formal or pretentious as its accolades or its roster of facilities would have you believe.
