Pointe du Bout, Les Trois Ilets, Martinique 97229
Sabre GDS
HQ 317994
Description
Charming West-Indies style resort on Fort de France Bay in a lush garden setting on a bluff above private beach - Spacious rooms.
Location and History
Hotel Bakoua, built on the site of an old family home, sits at the end of a quiet street in a neighborhood seemingly plucked from the French Riviera. The Pointe du Bout peninsula in Les Trois-Ilets is across the bay from Fort De France Bay and the airport and is more French than Caribbean.
Martinique as a whole is an anomaly of the Caribbean. As a territory of France, it enjoys one of the highest standards of living in the Caribbean, the architecture evokes European influences, and the population is more mainland France than local Caribbean.
