In between the Saone and Rhone rivers, facing Place Bellecour, with a convenient metro stop one block away, this traditional Accor-managed hotel puts forth lots of country-house charm, but not much in the way of facilities other than its restaurant and bar—no health facilities, no real meeting space and no spa.
Instead, this six-story 1888 Haussmann-style hotel (making it a perfect fit for the MGallery Collection; it was one of the first to join), designed with a rotunda and an onion dome, concentrates on what few facilities it does have, and as the hotel operates as a training ground for the Institute Paul Bocuse hotel school, it also offers an eager restaurant and reception staff looking to make a career of it.
