Location and History
In the Umekita District and not far from the main JR Osaka Station, this is the first Waldorf Astoria to open in Japan. Architect Andre Fu oversaw this design project, and his signature elements are notable throughout the hotel’'s interiors. Some of the Art Deco accents here are meant to pay homage to the famous, reopened Waldorf in NYC.
For those not taking the train, the drive from the international Kansai airport is about 45 minutes. Once here, this property takes up the top floors of South Park Tower assuring some of the best views in town.
