Location and History
On a panoramic clifftop perch, on the north side of the Church of Santa Maria Asunta, a 15-minute stroll downhill (25-minutes' uphill) from this seaside village's beachfront cafes and shops, the coyly named Posa Posa (said to be taken from a 13th century Byzantine painting) is a pricey midrange offering boasting exceptional views of Positano's avalanche of humanity.
It's an exciting 90-minute drive from Naples, and an easy 30-minute trip into Sorrento. There is a bus stop near the hotel for getting around the area or going to the beach.
