Location and History
Occupying 15 acres at the eastern tip of the island facing Pillsbury Sound, a 15-minute drive beyond the Westin Frenchman's Reef and the buoyant family-run Bolongo Beach Resort, this Ritz-Carlton is the belle of the ball, at least for discriminating travelers.
This place is no wallflower, and its self-importance does occasionally block the view. But without any serious competition on the island, this is where Daddy Warbucks sleeps. Still, this hotel's reputation as one the best in the USVI is deserved, and it's on par with some of the best upscale modern resorts in the Caribbean.
