On Playa Saragamasa, fronting a rocky stretch of beach often cluttered with seaweed that is hard to manage (better strands await within a 15-minute walk), ME is Melia's trendsetter, a fashionable property with dedicated facilities for families, couples and the occasional corporate function. This is along the eastern coast of the island, which is far more relaxing and quieter compared to party central elsewhere.
The blockish concrete-and-glass complex has been around since the 1960s, but the arrival of Melia's ME brand has placed it in the running for best large-scale full-service hotel on this party island.
