Location and History
The exclusive Pousada do Toque is located in a rather remote, little-developed coastal region called San Miguel de Milagres. It's known for its miles of pale sand beaches, backed solely by palm trees and dense tropical vegetation, running along a somewhat wild, open Atlantic Ocean with turquoise waters and natural low-tide pools.
Milagres is scattered with small boutique resorts. It's 100 kilometers from Maceio city, a two- to two-and-a-half-hour drive on mostly remote, mountainous roads.
