Occidental Vacation Club, a division of Occidental Hotels and Resorts, has opened a new First Club at the all-inclusive Occidental Xcaret, 10 minutes from Playa del Carmen.
The resort features 11 restaurants, 10 bars, winding river channels, free-form pools and a private beach.
Several Occidental Vacation properties offer the First Club concept, which provides upgraded services to members.
Guests at Occidental resorts where there is a First Club on property may take advantage of some First Club upgrades at check-in, although some restrictions apply.
Member privileges include preferred accommodations, butler services, personalized services, a private lounge, gourmet breakfast and a members-only barbecue, private pool and Jacuzzi.
“Although all Occidental guests receive excellent treatment, we pay special attention to those that choose to upgrade to First Club,” said Luis Namnum, president of Occidental Vacation Club.
In addition to Occidental Grand Xcaret, four other First Club resorts in Mexico are located in Cozumel, Nuevo Vallarta and Playa del Carmen (home to two) as well as one each in Aruba and Costa Rica and two in the Dominican Republic.
