Travel advisors interested in participating in CruiseWorld, Nov. 11 to 13 in Fort Lauderdale,
are encouraged to register now. The registration rate for CruiseWorld will
increase by $25, effective Sept. 16.
Also, ship inspections are filling
up, with some ships already sold out.
For those interested in applying for this year’s new STAR
(Select Travel Advisor Recognition) Program, which is structured to provide
enhanced event programming while offsetting some of the financial expenses
incurred by travel agents to attend professional development events, those
spots are filling quickly and applications will close at the end of this month.
The core component of the STAR Program is a series of
collaborative meetings scheduled between exhibiting supplier partners and
pre-qualified, vetted travel advisors committed to business growth.
Qualified advisors who are selected to participate in the
STAR Program will receive complimentary registration and complimentary hotel
accommodation for two nights. Specific participation requirements are detailed
on the CruiseWorld website.
CruiseWorld will include three days of jam-packed general
sessions and more than 30 breakout sessions covering every segment of the
leisure travel space.
Ship inspections are scheduled for Nov. 10, 14 and 15 in Fort Lauderdale and
Miami, both before and after CruiseWorld.
Categories for supplier participation at this year’s event
include airlines, attractions, business tools, cruises, destinations, hotels
and resorts, professional services and tours/vacation packages. Among the
fastest growing categories this year is the destination portfolio.
The suppliers offering training at CruiseWorld are Clientbase, Club Med, VAX VacationAccess, Starwood Hotels & Resorts,
Norwegian Cruise Line and the destination of Montreal (Nov. 10); Alaska –
Visit Anchorage, Avalon Waterways, Avoya Travel, Exclusive Group Travel,
