Celebrated chef Julian Serrano will open his first Italian restaurant, Lago, at Bellagio Resort in March 2015.
Lago will take over the space that was occupied by Circo, which closed September 30, and will boast floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows that look out over the famous Bellagio fountains. Adjacent to the dining room, an open-air patio will offer waterfront seating.
Serrano, a James Beard Award winner, already has one AAA Five Diamond restaurant at Bellagio, Picasso.
Lago is expected to feature small plates such as carpaccio and bruschetta as well as fresh pastas and an assortment of pizzas. The restaurant will also have an extensive mixology program and a 600-bottle wine list.
