The W Seattle has opened its first Sound Suite in North America, which includes a private music studio, a writer's room and a lounge that offers a retreat for musicians, as well as a place for guests to live out their rock star fantasies

The W Sound Suite at W Seattle follows the opening of the world's first musicians' suite at W Bali — Seminyak last year. Additional Sound Suites are planned for the W Hollywood and W Barcelona in the coming months.

The W Sound Suites are partially the brainchild of the W brand's North American music director, DJ White Shadow, a Chicago-based producer best known for his work with Lady Gaga. He worked with the W Seattle to optimize the Sound Suite's layout and select equipment for professional use and sound quality.
"Musicians are constantly on the road, where it's difficult to find an accessible, professional-quality space to record," he said in a press release. "In Seattle, a city known worldwide for its music scene, W Hotels has brought recording space to the artist, allowing them to create whenever inspiration strikes."

The soundproof suite, which can hold up to 25 people, is outfitted to professional specifications with the latest in production suite equipment, including a vocal booth, mixing equipment and a lounge area to host receptions.

The hotel also offers a playful "Rider Menu" that includes everything from Dom Perignon Champagne and oysters to hot dogs and beer.
