2016 Developments

Business Travel Services Division (BTS) went through a full account portfolio review and rationalized clients based upon core capabilities and revenue targets per account. Examined all BTS channels and optimized certain verticals for efficiency and level of service in preparation for a targeted growth year in 2017 to $180 million. 

Vacation Travel Services Division grew engagement with the American Express Gold Card travel services offering during 2016 and budgeted further growth in 2017 with the addition of Gold Card marketing programs in the second quarter.

Luxury vacation department, Privileged Journeys, enjoyed its second year of double-digit sales growth with great expectations for a strong 2017.

Rolled out a mobile app to all vacation travel advisers to use with their customers, a new QC program for our customer database and invoicing system and in December launched a full marketing automation program to help jump-start marketing and sales efforts in the digital space for 2017.

Technology infrastructure focused on security improvements and improved digital access via IP phones, updated network infrastructure, cloud-managed global WiFi and video conferencing for all employees working virtually and in the offices.

Looking Ahead

Travelink signed a multiyear agreement, which will materially expand healthcare industry vertical, middle market footprint, global presence and existing partnership with American Express Global Business Travel.

Continue to expand field sales organization to focus on vertical markets for business travel, gift of travel, incentive and group programs.

Within Vacation Travel Division, recent launch of marketing automation platform has helped double first quarter Wave season sales.

Website will be redesigned and moved onto the marketing automation platform during the second quarter and deliver a more efficient and contemporary user experience.

Open to new agency acquisitions and adding independent vacation travel advisers, especially those focused on luxury travelers.

On the tech front, in the midst of launching Office 365, virtualizing agency-specific applications and moving services to the cloud.

As virtual staff works at home across the country, support a full paid day each year where team members can volunteer at the charity of their choice in their own communities.
