MEMPHIS -- Northwest will add about 45 departures a day to its
Memphis schedule in June in what the airline is calling the largest
single service expansion in the company's 75-year history.
The expansion involves adding a fourth bank of departures for
late-afternoon operations and offering additional frequencies to 40
destinations.
"It provides an opportunity for us to hit a part of the day that
was not being served in Memphis effectively," a Northwest official
said, noting the schedule will enable business travelers to return
home the same day at a reasonable hour.
