WASHINGTON -- Applications are due April 15 for travel scholarships
from International Airlines Travel Agent Network's Ronald A.
Santana Memorial Foundation. Like last year, the foundation is
offering $5,000 in scholarships for inside or outside agents,
managers or owners who started studying or plan to begin shortly.
The course outline and an essay of 750 to 1,000 words must
accompany the application, which is available through Iatan's Web
site at www.iatan.org or fax-back service at (800) 224-2826,
documents 319 and 321.
The foundation was created to honor the late Ronald Santana, who
was an Iatan board member, ARTA president, attorney and agency
owner.
Last year four people received scholarships; one was in the
amount of $2,500, two were $1,000 and one $500.
