Advantage Rent A Car has completed the acquisition of closely held E-Z Rent-A-Car for an undisclosed price. The companies announced the acquisition in February.
With E-Z Rent-A-Car, Advantage
has a combined 85 locations and desks at all but three of the
25 largest U.S. airports.
Canadian private equity firm
Catalyst Capital Group acquired Advantage out of bankruptcy last year from Franchise Services of
North America (FSNA) for an undisclosed price.
The
prior year, Hertz sold Advantage in order to comply with antitrust regulators'
conditions for acquiring Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group.
Last
year, Advantage generated about $200 million in U.S. revenue, about equal to
Fox Rent A Car, according to Auto Rental News.
