NEW YORK --
BritRail slashed rates on all rail passes for off-peak travel in
the U.K. this autumn and winter by some 25% for travel Nov. 1
through Feb. 28. These reduced-rate BritRail Passes will be
available for purchase as of Oct. 1.
Sample off-peak sale
prices on a four-day BritRail FlexiPass are $179 for adults in
standard class, normally $239; $262 for adults in first class, down
from $349; and $134 for youth in standard class (normally $179) or
$222 (normally $297) in first.
BritRail is paying
travel agents 8% on the sale passes; call (866) BRITRAIL or go to
www.britrail.com. The off-peak sale rates for BritRail
tickets also are available through Rail Europe Group companies Rail
Europe and DER.
