NEW YORK -- Representatives of both Rail Europe and DER Travel
Services said all Eurail and Europass prices for 2001 will remain
the same as in 2000.
A new three-country European railpass will be available to
travelers as of January 1.
The Eurail Selectpass will allow travel within three adjoining
countries, land or sea, within all 17 Eurail countries.
It will be a flexipass which can be purchased for five, six,
eight and 10-day periods. Prices will begin at $328 per person.
Additional days may be added beginning at $28 per day.
Meanwhile, DER Travel Services added access to Eurail and
BritRail point-to-point ticket fares via its Web site, DERtravel.com.
A DER spokeswoman said that point-to-point tickets can be booked
via the company's call center, fax or e-mail, and on the company's
Web site by late summer.
