WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- New roundtrip fares for the Eurostar train,
traveling between London/Ashford-Paris/Marne la Vallee,
France/Brussels, Belgium through the Channel Tunnel, have been
announced by Rail Europe.
Previously all fares were one way, with no discount for
roundtrips.
The new Leisure Roundtrip fare is $248 in first class, $158
standard class for travel between either London/Ashford-Paris/Marne
la Vallee or London-Brussels.
This fare represents a savings of up to 40% compared with
one-way Leisure fares of $199 first class; $119 standard class.
Roundtrip fares require a minimum stay of two nights and are not
exchangeable or refundable.
A Youth Open Voucher for the Eurostar train also is now
available.
The voucher enables passengers under the age of 26 to forgo
making an advance reservation, which normally is required on
Eurostar.
Purchased in North America before departure for Europe, the
Eurostar Youth Open Voucher can be exchanged any time from two
months to 45 minutes before the desired departure time and
date.
The Eurostar Youth Open Voucher is good for travel in standard
class only and costs $79 one way for travel between London or
Ashford and Paris or Brussels.
This voucher is only valid for exchange until Dec. 31 and is
subject to availability.
