CHICAGO -- Arrington Travel Center, a $190 million agency headquartered here, said in the past year it won 96 accounts with a combined volume in excess of $50 million.

The new business includes the following:

  • Platinum Technology, a software vendor in Oakbrook Terrace, Ill., with estimated annual travel volume of $30 million.
  • Kirkland & Ellis, a law firm with offices in Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington and New York and annual volume of $8 million. Kirkland & Ellis is a repeat customer for Arrington Travel. The agency handled the law firm's Chicago office from 1986 through 1995 and all of its offices from 1991 through 1995.
  • Boston Chicken, owner of the Boston Market restaurant chain and the majority owner of Einstein/Noah Bagel Corp. Boston Chicken's annual volume is estimated at $4 million.
  • Tessco Technologies, a wireless communications supplier in Sparks, Md., with annual volume of $2 million.
  • The National Futures Association in Chicago, also with volume of $2 million.
