Expedia Inc. has extended its carbon offset
program in partnership with TerraPass to Expedia Corporate Travel
clients.
Six months after Expedia.com users
gained the ability to purchase carbon offsets, ECT clients now have
the ability to calculate the amount of carbon dioxide that their
employees' business travel creates, and to purchase carbon offsets
from TerraPass to neutralize the environmental damage.
In addition, ECT
pledged that its own employees' travel would become "carbon
neutral" by the end of the year by purchases of TerraPass
offsets.
