AMResorts announced a new
resort in Jamaica and two more in Mexico, setting a company record for the
number of resort management deals announced in one year (12).
All three properties are newbuilds. The targeted opening
of the 150-room Breathless Montego Bay Resort in late 2016 will mark the debut
of the adults-only Breathless brand in Jamaica. It will be located next to sister
properties Secrets St. James Montego Bay, Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay and Sunscape Montego Bay.
Slated to open in 2017 in Mexico are the
500-room, adults-only Breathless Playa del Carmen Resort & Spa and the
family-focused Dreams Villas Playa del Carmen, featuring 150 villas and 50
junior suites. The two resorts will be adjacent to each other in
the Grand Coral gated development private community.
Guests will have access to an 18-hole golf
course, a clubhouse and beach club and the dining, shopping and nightlife
on Playa del Carmen’s Quinta Avenida (Fifth Avenue).

fastest growing cities and visitor arrivals to Jamaica increasing by more more
than 45% in the last 10 years, expanding our presence in these destinations
makes good business sense.”
