SILVER SPRING, Md. -- Choice Hotels International has jumped on the
best rate Web guarantee bandwagon, joining the likes of Cendant,
Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Six Continents Hotels.
Choice Hotels' "Best Choice e-Rate Guarantee" promises to
undercut the lowest rate that a customer might find through any
third-party online travel site by 10%, effective March 28.
To qualify, a customer must obtain a confirmed reservation at
any Choice hotel via Choicehotels.com. If a lower online rate is
found elsewhere, the customer must then submit a Best Choice e-Rate
Guarantee claim form from the company's Web site.
Once the alternate rate is verified, Choice will adjust the
customer's original reservation to the lower rate and take off an
additional 10%. The promotion does not include rates obtained
through auction sites.
The rate guarantee is available at any Comfort Inn, Comfort
Suites, Quality, Sleep Inn, Clarion, MainStay Suites, Econo Lodge
and Rodeway Inn brand hotels in the U.S. and the Caribbean.
