NEW YORK -- Aus-Vacations, an Australian-owned retail agency with
eight U.S. locations, bought the assets of Inta-Aussie South
Pacific, a Las Vegas-based wholesaler specializing in Australia and
the South Pacific, which abruptly halted operations last week.
There was no word whether Aus-Vacations would assume
responsibility for commission payments Inta-Aussie owes agents.
Aus-Vacations will take over Inta-Aussie bookings for future
travel and "honor Inta-Aussie's obligations to its customers" for
that travel, a spokesman said.
