ROCKAWAY, N.J. -- TrekAmerica, an operator of adventure tours of
North America, was purchased by London-based First Choice Holidays,
which owns a portfolio of more than 50 niche tour operators.
TrekAmerica will become part of First Choice's adventure
division, which includes Exodus Travels and Waymark Holidays.
TrekAmerica will continue to operate under the brands
TrekAmerica, with camping trips designed for 18- to 38-year-olds;
Footloose, offering camping, walking and lodging tours for all
ages; and WinterSun, the off-season version of TrekAmerica.
