Adventure tour operator Intrepid Travel has acquired Ooraminna Station Homestead in the Australian Outback.

The property is located about 20 miles south of Alice Springs, in Australia's Northern Territory.

Ooraminna has four private cabins and four glamping tents, and Intrepid plans to add 10 rooms for families and couples and upgrade the property.

"This acquisition is an important step in our ambition to lead low-impact, nature-based travel and invest in the future of Australian tourism," said Intrepid's Australia and New Zealand managing director Brett Mitchell. "We're seeing continued demand for experience-rich stays in regional Australia, and properties like Ooraminna allow us to create deeper connections to place, community and culture."
