Travel Corp. Buys Australian Operator: Travel Weekly

MELBOURNE, Australia --AAT King's Tours, an Australian tour operator, announced its sale to Bermuda-based Travel Corp., owner of such brand names as Trafalgar Tours, Insight and Contiki.

AAT King's, formed 85 years ago, has been owned by the Page family of Melbourne since 1983. It operates 80 touring coaches in Australia, where it has more than 100 tour itineraries. The company also owns AAT King's Australian Tours, a tour operator based in Los Angeles.

"This will be a mutually beneficial alliance that will increase sales and positively impact our trading ability worldwide," said Dallas Newton, AAT King's director and general manager.
