NEW YORK -- The Monaco Government Tourist Office will host an
educational program for agents in the principality in November.
The four-night fam will have departures from several U.S.
gateways Nov. 10 and 11. A land-only plan is available for agents
attending the ASTA World Congress in Strasbourg, France.
Called Enchanted Journey to Monaco, the trip features
accommodations in a luxury hotel, receptions, sightseeing tours of
Monaco and the Riviera and educational seminars and workshops. Upon
completion of the program, participating agents will be designated
"Monaco-Savvy" in the government Tourist Office's Web-based
referral system and will have access to a variety of co-op
marketing tools.
Agents also can enroll in the Sales Incentive Program, which
enables them to earn free hotel nights for bookings. Agents who
participate in the Enchanted Journey program will qualify for
continuing education credits as outlined by the Institute of
Certified Travel Agents.
The cost of the fam starts at $675 per person, double, and
includes roundtrip air fare on Delta between several U.S. gateways
and Nice, France; airport transfers, and four nights'
accommodations.
Also covered is membership in Le Club Diamant Rouge, a program
offering amenities at participating establishments in Monaco;
roundtable presentations with local suppliers; an educational
seminar by Bruce Tepper of Joselyn Tepper & Associates; all
receptions, dinners and related functions; porterage, and VAT
The program is available to agents in the U.S. and Canada with
valid Iatan identification and at least five years' full-time
industry experience.
Agent companions are not eligible. Several retailers from one
agency may participate, but only one agent is qualified for the
air-inclusive deal. The land-only rate starts at $495 per person,
double.
