New York City Vacation Packages is taking clients to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade with a package that has all the trimmings.

The basic plan covers four nights' accommodations at a hotel either on or a half-block from the parade route; dining and shopping discounts; admission to the Empire State Building Observatory or the Rockefeller Center Tour; admission to the Metropolitan Museum of Art or the American Museum of Natural History; and all taxes.

The Insider's View option, which costs an additional $295 per adult and $159 per child ages 2 to 12, includes a guided bus tour the night before Thanksgiving that ends at the balloon-inflation area, Thanksgiving morning brunch at the Crowne Plaza Manhattan overlooking the parade and a souvenir gift for each adult.

LanChile is planning a charter flight over Antarctica in conjunction with TravelQuest International to view the total solar eclipse on Nov. 23. Pre- and post-flight extensions can be added at an additional cost.

The flight will depart Punta Arenas, Chile, and fly over the South Pole on a 14-hour, round-trip journey.

The Antarctica route will fly over Amundsen-Scott Station and Palmer Station, two research stations at the South Pole, and Vinson Massif, the highest point in Antarctica.

The flight aboard A340 aircraft will take passengers on a direct path with the eclipse, which will last two minutes, 26 seconds.

The program is priced starting at $5,500 per person. Each traveler will receive a video recording of the eclipse and digital images on a CD.
