Peer-to-peer accommodations service Airbnb has released an app used for the Apple Watch mobile device.
Airbnb's Apple Watch app lets prospective guests make booking requests to hosts, who can see the user's name and photograph sent from the device.
The app also facilitates mid- and post-stay messaging between hosts and guests, Airbnb said Thursday.
Apple started selling the Apple Watch in late April. American Airlines, Starwood Hotels and Expedia were among travel suppliers and intermediaries that made Apple Watch apps available either upon or shortly after the product's launch.
