MENLO PARK, Calif. -- GetThere.com, as planned, merged its consumer Web travel service, www.itn.com and www.itn.net, into American Express' travel site at www.americanexpress/travel. The American Express site is now powered by GetThere.com rather than Expedia for air, hotel and car rental bookings.
