SOUTHLAKE, Texas -- Sabre-connected travel agencies can earn an
extra 5% commission when they book "on sale" hotel rooms through
Sabre Exclusives, Sabre's merchant hotel program.
Every two weeks, Sabre Exclusives will feature two cities "on
sale," which means rates are discounted deeper than usual and
agencies earn the extra 5% in commission, said Sabre.
The standard commission through the program is 10%.
Some 1,500 hotels in the U.S., Canada and Caribbean participate
in Sabre Exclusives, which launched last June.
Sabre accesses the inventory on a merchant basis and guarantees
its merchant rates are the lowest available. If a lower rate is
discovered elsewhere within 24 hours of booking, Sabre promises to
match the lower rate.
