The growing importance of spas to Mexico’s resort developers is in evidence with two planned openings of multimillion-dollar resort spas in November.
In the Riviera Maya, El Dorado Casitas Royale by Karisma will open the Casitas Spa. The 20,000-square-foot, Mexican-theme spa will be accessible to guests at both El Dorado Royale and El Dorado Casitas Royale. The spa facility will include a gym, a pool, a full-service salon, shops and event space.
In Mazatlan, the Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay Resort & Spa will open a 16,500-square-foot spa. The free-standing Spa Emerald Bay facility will include a fitness center, several “wet” areas, 11 treatment rooms, a salon and a spa boutique.
